How much does an AI consultant cost in Canada?

At Remolda, fixed-scope work starts at $490 CAD + HST for a one-week AI Readiness Review. The two-week AI Opportunity Audit is $2,900 and the six-week AI Pilot Sprint is $9,800. Larger programs, retainers and training for 20+ people are quoted after a free 30-minute call.

What is included in each package?

The Readiness Review includes a 90-minute session, a six-dimension readiness score, a 4–6 page summary and 3–5 candidate use cases. The Opportunity Audit adds 6–10 interviews, a ranked map of 10+ use cases and a 12-month roadmap. The Pilot Sprint builds one production AI workflow with guardrails, training and a runbook.

Are prices in Canadian dollars, and is tax included?

Prices are in Canadian dollars before GST/HST, which is charged on the invoice according to the place of supply.

How do we pay?

You receive an invoice from Innova Consulting Group Inc. in Ottawa and pay by Interac e-Transfer or bank transfer. Work starts once payment clears, and kickoff is usually scheduled the same week.

Can we start small and upgrade later?

Yes. What you pay for a package is credited toward a larger engagement, so a Readiness Review can become an Opportunity Audit or a Pilot Sprint without paying twice for the same work.

Do the prices include software licences or AI model usage?

Licences and usage fees for tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, n8n or Azure OpenAI are paid by you directly to the vendor, so accounts stay in your name and running costs are visible.

What drives the cost of an AI project?

Five things: how many workflows are in scope, the state of the data, integrations with existing systems, how many people need training and in which languages, and how much legal and privacy review the use case needs. The three packages fix the price of the first steps; larger programs are priced after the audit, when these factors are known.

Fixed price, hourly or retainer: which payment model do you use?

The Readiness Review, Opportunity Audit and Pilot Sprint are fixed-price, with scope and deliverables agreed before work starts, so the budget does not grow with the hours. Multi-team programs, ongoing support after launch and training for 20+ people are scoped individually on a call.

Can government funding cover part of the cost?

Sometimes, for the AI project itself. BDC LIFT, NRC IRAP, SR&ED tax credits and, in Québec, the ESSOR program each have their own rules on which costs and suppliers qualify; CDAP is closed. Is there a free option?

The 30-minute discovery call is free. You describe the situation, and we suggest the first step and which package, if any, fits.

Can the work be done in French?

Yes. Every package is available in English or French, including sessions, reports and training materials.
